The DAILY ASTROLOGY May 20th

SATURDAY MAY 20th

We have two energy dynamics going on today. One; our Gemini Moon is asking us to be inquisitive, talk about things, get out there locally or on a short trip, write things up, focus on the sales, siblings, or neighbors, handle the news or information coming in, or make it about the meetings, vehicles or electronics, BUT this is running into Saturn so plans don't go how we thought or this is testing us in some way. This could be because of rain or something else you didn't expect, the need for a bit more rest and recuperation, the research, an institution, a hangover or issue with meds, a notable crossroads with a karmic situation, someone being illusive or hard to reach, or something going on around the artistic, romantic or spiritual needs in the story. So, we do the best we can and pivot. Two; Mars moves into Leo at 11:31am Eastern and will be touring here until July 10th, kicking off a new story for us, while today running smack dab into a charged-up opposition with Pluto in Aquarius, which peaks by 11:12pm Eastern. So, Mars in Leo is going to get us revved up and more interested in our passions and activities with lovers or what we're doing with the kids, in creative endeavors, or recreationally. We should have a lot more get-up-and-go around these topics over the weeks ahead and find we can make things happen or there's a lot more happening and we are reacting to it. When challenged we will have to watch out for anger, frustration and fights, and explosive dramas or entitlement issues in these areas of life. Today as it builds to oppose Pluto we are at a midpoint/turning point and it could go either way. It will hinge on where we are with personal power, third-party situations, jealousy, control, manipulations, sex, financial interests or concerns, a birth, a death, a divorce, our freedoms, sudden changes with situations that have been changing long-term, friends, groups, the internet, or our aspirations in the story. The opposition may mean that this is highly charged energy between people that motivates and moves mountains or stirs passions and is in balance (if we lean into the best side of the potential), or it is confrontational, harsh or even destructive (if we let it get the best of us and are heated over it), so choose wisely. Whatever occurs today will then be a big part of the background story of this transit of Mars in the weeks ahead, directing where much of our activity will play out. So, to sum it up, Mars, Pluto and Leo/Aquarius we could have action and passion meets power, depth and change in the territories of love and creativity, freedoms and aspirations (positive), OR we could have anger or violence meets, death, ruthlessness and destruction, in the territories of pride, entitlement, dramas, unpredictability, instability, and shake-ups (not so positive). So, you see how important your approach to what occurs or what you want can be at this point. Lean into the positive side of this turning point! And of course, the fixed signs Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius will be at the forefront with this energy combo but the rest of us will have it playing out somewhere in our charts.
