The DAILY ASTROLOGY May 16th

TUESDAY MAY 16th

Jupiter represents hope. It is the energy that gets us up out of bed in the morning. It makes us want to learn new things and eventually it nudges us to share our wisdom. Jupiter is an arrow pointed at our happiness, a giant leading the way towards better things. He can be so optimistic that we go overboard so we do have to keep an eye on this tendency, but it still feels good. Jupiter brings the higher aims of humanity, (before they are corrupted), like the law, religion, politics, or media to our world. He protects. He adventures, he travels, he embraces cultures and ideas other than his own. He is the better part of us and today he leaves the sign Aries that he's been touring this last year and moves into Taurus.

This new energy field means he will be doing these things in a slower, more fixed (determined, stubborn, unmovable) way. He will be making choices with these themes based on values or how we are valued in the situation. He will want to bring this to what we are doing to make money. He will now influence our possessions or products and what is going on with them. He will bring his largess to the things we build. And he will aim his influences on the things we purchase. This begins today at 1:20pm Eastern and lasts until next year, May 25th, 2024. For reference, his last transits of Taurus were March 1988-March 1989, June 1999-June 2000, and June 2011-June 2012.

Today, as he moves in, he immediately finds himself in square to Pluto in Aquarius, also at zero degrees of that sign. So today and tomorrow this may feel intense, like we really need to make a change or deal with a change that is occurring, or that we need to go deeper and uncover some truth, or that we need to look at where we are with freedoms, friends, groups, or the internet in the story, or that we need to look at loans, debt, inheritance, taxes, insurance, or other financial resources impacting what we want, or that we need to address sexual attractions or issues, jealousy, power, or control in the story, or if there is anything going on with birth, death or third-parties at play. After this peaks between today and tomorrow it will gradually lift by June 11th and Jupiter will then spend the rest of his year in Taurus forming positive alignments with the outer planets so don't let it get you too crazy if it hits more intensely at the start. Perhaps it is the push we need to get the ball rolling.

While it was in Aries it spent most of the year there within orb of Chiron, the wounded healer, taking our wounds, vulnerabilities, and healing bigger as a means of getting us closer to our own version of happiness or prosperity or growth. So, we dealt with a lot of personal and physical issues, but again, today he exits this territory at 1:20pm Eastern today so we should be proud of what we've come through this last year and optimistic about what is on the horizon.

The cosmos has pulled back and bowed before Jupiter today, creating a space for this transition to occur, as there are no other planetary alignments going on today, zip zilch, nada. So, take a moment to think about what you would like to bring into being in this year ahead through these realms of income, purchases, possessions, products, the things we are building, values, or being valued.

One last note. I've been asked before when something not so positive happens when Jupiter is in a sign, how can that happen? An example could be that Jupiter moves into your zone of work and you hear that your company is going under or you are fired, but how can that happen? Well this is how. Jupiter strictly wants your happiness, growth and prosperity, had you stayed in that position you would have had none of those things in the long run, remember Jupiter is kicking off a 12 year story in this sign via what occurs this year ahead so when you look back at it later on you will definitely say, had that not happened I would have carried on, comfortable in my dead-end job, and never gone on to find this really great new job, or gone back to school to get a degree that led to a better position, or started my own business. You get the idea, if it is about the things I listed above, and it happens in a way that pushes you out of your comfort zone just remember it is about getting you into a better place. Luckily for us most of the time it just comes through new opportunities, people, and ideas, so look for them, it is time, we are ready, here we go.
