The DAILY ASTROLOGY May 12th

January 29th, 2025. Think back. We had a New Moon at 9 degrees of Aquarius kicking off, it was the Chinese New Year of the Dragon kicking in, and it was the day that Mercury met with Pluto both at 1 degree of Aquarius to start a new story for the year together. It was quite a power day. Today is linked to that beginning as we reach the opening square between Mercury and Pluto in their story together and the Full Moon climaxes in Scorpio, ruled by Pluto, square to that New Moon back then in Aquarius. So, what ideas, offers, or decisions were you making back then regarding your freedoms, original projects, friendships, group affiliations, online interests, astrology, charities, gatherings, science, aviation, or aspirations? Look at what it brought by way of personal empowerment or power struggles, anything having to do with the financial side of the story, anything with sexuality or reproduction, anything with divorce, a birth, death, or third-party situation as Pluto rules these things. It is not only that he is in square today at this first turning point, but he rules the Scorpio Moon and the things coming to a climax today under it. 

What was being deconstructed so that you could start fresh? For me it marked the end of 11 years doing my astrology show on BlogTalkRadio as they closed their doors, and the launch into what would come next for me. Another example might be how back then we were at the start of the Chinese New Year and the start of a new US Presidency and today the US and China announce a halt in the reciprocal tariffs.  We mark the end of things, we have our breakthroughs, we celebrate, achieve, or garner recognition around it. Again, very descriptive of what has been going on with the US and China but we each have this peak today in our own lives as well. Squares can challenge a bit as we are looking at how far we have come and if we want to keep going on the same track or if things are changing at this point to move us in a different direction. They can also be the catalyst to push through an obstacle and overcome something powerful. We are at our apex today between 12-2pm Eastern/9-11am Pacific. I might also note that the Full Moon today is at a master number degree, 22 degrees of Scorpio, so it is magnified and important in some way to each of us. So, what's over, what have you achieved, what is worth celebrating under the Full Moon? And what news, talk, offer, or decision pushes you at this juncture that ties back to Jan 29th?

The DAILY ASTROLOGY May 11th

Happy Mother's Day! To all you lovely moms out there, fur baby moms included <3 We continue today to build to the Full Moon climax in Scorpio which peaks tomorrow afternoon/morning depending on your time zone. So emotions are high today regarding personal feelings of empowerment or the lack thereof, around evolving stories in our lives, any changes going on, anything deep or profound, or anything involving sex, finances, divorce, birth, death, or triangles. We are reaching that end of the story or we are seeing all of our efforts be rewarded in some way as things get closer to their climax. There is an adjustment to make with Venus so expect some give and take required with a woman, with love or lovers, with income, with beauty, or our pleasures. There is also a square to Mars in Leo that perfects around 1:39pm Eastern so there may be something the kids were supposed to do but are running late or simply can't or there could be something going on with a lover, a drama unfolding, entitlement issues, the creativity in the day, or a recreational pursuit that gets hit with this frictional point. It could mean hustling up to get around an obstacle physically or it could mean frustration, anger or fights, or it could mean a little more passion about the subject is required, the good thing with Mars is it should come and go pretty quickly so whatever heats up, just stay the course.

MONDAY the Scorpio Full Moon climaxes by 12:56pm Eastern. We began building to this peak Saturday afternoon and may have had climactic events anywhere along the line but today it perfects. So, we should see things wrapping up or ending, or have breakthroughs, achievements or celebrations as we reach this peak of the energy. In Scorpio it can be about what is going on with a loan, the debt, an inheritance, a bankruptcy, the insurance, the taxes, alimony, child support, a partner’s money, or any other financial interest. It could also be about intimacy, sexuality, reproduction, divorce, jealousy, or third-party situations. It could also mark a birth or a death, something criminal or something about control, power, or transformation reaching its apex. Again, some of you are early birds and may have had your experience already in the build-up while others will have it today. While we are experiencing this peak with the Scorpio Moon Mercury in Taurus, opposite this Full Moon, is building to square Pluto in Aquarius just 27 minutes later. So, it’s intense. We have powerful news, a talk, meeting, or something intense happening with transportation, electronics, sales, writing, or decisions. This plays out around products, purchases, income, values, and anything happening with friends, groups, online, or with aspirations in the mix. Take care on the roads and with what you say, as well as with volatile people, where you leave your wallet/purse, what you purchase online, you get the idea, the energy is not in flow around this stuff.

TUESDAY the Sagittarius Moon kicks in at 4:35am Eastern getting us more focused on any travel plans or things incoming from a distance, anything legal, educational or media related, anything with ceremonies, or anything with our growth, happiness, prosperity, or beliefs. The day looks bright as we find inspiration, the magic, perhaps something around love or money, or with beauty in the mix. We do have at least one talk, bit of news or decision where we need to either be flexible or ask for some give and take about it and this likely involves what is going on with our possessions, purchases or income needs in the story.

WEDNESDAY Sagittarius Moon locks onto Mars in Leo and it’s a go! This is flow from the fire energy so we are driven, passionate, making things happen. It looks expansive, creative, fun, or may involve those travel, distant, legal, educational, media, ceremonial, or religious interests, or the kids or lover, sweet.

THURSDAY we wrap up any of those Sage Moon themes by 3:58pm Eastern. I’d like to say this was a breeze but it seems there is some red tape or authority figure, or perhaps some time and effort that is frictional with this energy so we likely have something to tend to involving an institution, the research, our drained energy, a karmic matter, or something in the way of romance, artistry, spirituality, secrets, or addictions in the mix. Ugh. At 3:58pm Eastern the Moon exits this field and moves into Capricorn. Here it enters a square to Neptune in Aries so I would really suggest we try to plan time for rest and recuperation today or at least call it an early day and get some sleep. For some it is just a bit of feeling lost or pushing oneself through things personally or on a physical level, pace it!

FRIDAY Venus finally passes her Shadow at 2:15am Eastern, sweet! So, we are now going to see some new opportunities presenting in the weeks ahead when it comes to love or money, beauty or pleasure. The Capricorn Moon squares her today so perhaps it’s a test today but it does really open up later on Sunday into Monday and again later next week so hang in there.

SATURDAY we have flow with our goals, career objectives, or the boss, parent or other authority figures around us. It’s also a day with a lot of visionary opportunities or with excitement, innovation, social moments, online potential, and ways to make money, enjoy our possessions, gifts or purchases, or feel valued.

SATURDAY NIGHT/INTO THE WEE HOURS ON SUNDAY we could have an angry interaction, an accident pop up or some glitchy, frustrating moment so do take care between the last 3 hours of the night into the first 3 hours of the day between Saturday and Sunday, both with words and deeds.

SUNDAY the Aquarius Moon is in play and grooving with both Venus and Neptune in Aries, as well as with Pluto in Aquarius. So this could be a good day for time with friends, in groups, online, with astrology, a charity, at gatherings, or about aspirations. There is a lot of inspiration, magic, romanticism, artistry, spirituality, personal involvement, and deeper, more profound moments. The DAILY ASTROLOGY May 10th

Mercury entered Taurus at 8:15am Eastern and will tour here until the 25th. That gives us 15 days of mental focus on our earnings, purchases, possessions, the things we are building, our pleasures, the things we value, how we are being valued, or our products. Mercury will do his part to help us pitch ideas, write things up, meet, talk, interview, audition, focus on the sales, short trips, local activities, offers, or decisions about these topics. At the same time, it calms the mind as it exits the more aggressive Aries energy and slows us down so we can take our time and think things out.

At 3:58pm Eastern the Moon moves into Scorpio, opposite this new Mercury placement in Taurus, and will begin building to the Full Moon climax in Scorpio by Monday afternoon. This means emotions are stronger and likely to focus on deep changes going on and what is being brought to conclusion or achievement between now and Monday. Scorpio is about power, control, sex, finances, birth, death, divorce, crime, and third-party situations. Something is culminating here now through Monday and today it will allow us to go one-on-one with someone over the Mercury energy in the mix. There is also a square to Pluto which may bring a friend, group, online interest, our freedoms, original projects, or aspirations into the friction that is building. This kind of frictional pattern can push us to do more to reach where we are going or it can frustrate or it can bring blow-ups, the energy is just far more dynamic. The fixed signs, Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius are bearing the brunt of this combination so look at where these signs fall in your own chart for more insight into what is amping up over the next few days.

The DAILY ASTROLOGY May 9th

Libra Moon is in adjustment mode with the Sun in Taurus today. So we are in connection mode, talking, meeting, interacting with partners, clients, specialists, reps, etc, and we will need to be flexible or work around or perhaps we are being asked for a bit more or less or are doing the same when it comes to them. The give and take? Well, it would seem it is about the income, purchases, possessions, products, or values/being valued in the mix and how we are showing up for it. There is a more buoyant vibe to the day as we build to the Jupiter alignment which perfects after midnight, 2:17am Eastern, or by 11:17pm Pacific time tonight. This should help us balance things out and find some pretty optimistic conversations or bring good news to our day. Libra Moon kicked in during the wee hours this morning so our day is more focused on our one-on-one relationships with others, the balance we are striving for or achieving, justice, and/or higher esthetics. This is in flow with the dreamy, romantic, artistic, loving side of things. It is in flow with institutions, research, income, or projects in development. The Virgo Moon builds all day in harmony to the Sun in Taurus, giving us a backdrop of harmony around work or health needs, earning or purchasing, hired help or co-workers, the things we are doing with our possessions or products, any paperwork, or our animals, sweet. Time to get in there and get moving on any of this on a personal or physical level. The other thing going on today is that Venus in Aries is meeting with Pluto Retrograde in Aquarius. This is also a positively charged alignment, so we have flow. Venus is about what we are being proactive about regarding love or income today, or she may get us more interested in beauty, a woman, or pleasure. Pluto Retrograde is about a do-over, either heading back to the past or focusing on current situations, and what we might like to rekindle, release or rework regarding a friendship, associate, group, online interest, astrology, charity, aspiration, or original project as it pertains to power, control, jealousy, an evolving storyline, financial matters, sex, divorce, a death, birth, or third-party influence. The DAILY ASTROLOGY May 5th

The big news today is big news...or talks, meetings, sales, writing, agreements, offers, or decisions, thanks to Mercury in an opportunity alignment with Jupiter. Look at any travel or distant situations, anything legal or educational, anything about expansion or prosperity, anything about media, marketing, publishing, or broadcasting, or anything ceremonial, religious, or political in the mix. Doors are open on this one. The rest of the day is about a series of adjustments. In the first part it involves the kids, loved ones, creative endeavors, creative ventures, dramas, or entitlement issues. The give and take here is around institutions, research, recuperative needs, addictions, secrets, artistic interests, romance, or spiritual matters.  Do keep in mind we are in a Void during this, from 9:03am until 3:40pm Eastern, so it's pretty much go with the flow as you bend and give. The second part, from 3:40pm Eastern onward, the Moon moves into Virgo and we focus on work or health interests, the animals, our cleaning, organizing, hired help, paperwork, or co-workers. It’s our second week of New Moon energy in Taurus so let’s remember we still have a cosmic boost behind anything we want to launch into involving income, purchases, possessions, or products this week. We also just had Pluto go Retrograde on Sunday, so this is our first week experiencing our do-over with his themes of financial, sexual, reproductive, mortality, divorce, and third-party influences. It’s time to release, rekindle or rework things now through Oct 13th. It could play out with friends, online, in groups, around aspirations, freedoms, gatherings, or original projects so look at what has changed and what you’d like to reassess in these areas in the week ahead as well.

MONDAY we are wrapping up the last of our Leo Moon energy by 3:40pm Eastern and this is in a Void until then so just expect to go with the flow when it comes to the kids, the love life, a lover, anything in the creative field, or that is recreational. This kicked in at 9:03am Eastern through a square to Uranus so there is some wild card in the mix that sets the day moving in these areas and it likely pertains to something unexpected, last minute, suddenly changing, or involving a friend, group, the internet, astrology, charity, income need, purchase, a possession, or product. In the midst of all of this, MERCURY sextiles JUPITER for something really special. This brings news, talks, meetings, sales, offers, writing, or decisions to the table with anything legal, travel, educational, media, ceremonial, religious, or political going on in a big opportunity for most of us. Once we reach 3:40pm Eastern today the Moon moves into Virgo and begins a trail of adjustment aspects so when it comes to work or health interests, the animals, or anything going on with hired help, co-workers or paperwork, it’s time to focus on these things but with flexibility in mind. This may be tied to a financial matter or third-party interest but overall is about give and take as we move ahead with things.

TUESDAY Venus and Pluto are getting together, again Venus is in a positive alignment to help us find opportunity around her themes of love or income, women, beauty, or pleasure. Here there is potential with our Pluto Retrograde do-over and what we want to rework, release or rekindle regarding other financial matters, sex, intimacy, reproduction, divorce, or third parties in the mix. Look at your aspirations or needs around freedom or lean into friends, groups, the internet, astrology, charities, or something original to figure things out. Mercury comes to sit the same degree with Chiron today and on Wednesday, so this is about offering us a fresh start by addressing a wound or vulnerability. We may hear news that brings this to bear or we may get into a talk or meeting, or it could play out around an offer, sale, our writing, agreements, ideas, or a decision. Look at any potential to heal and if called upon to bring your understanding of said wound or vulnerability to help or heal another, do try to offer what you can to help. Do take extra care on the road over these 2 days.

WEDNESDAY we still have the Mercury/Chiron energy going on, read Tuesdays description. We are also still in Virgo Moon energy, so this continues to fire us up regarding work, health or animals, or the co-workers, hired help, cleaning, organizing, or paperwork. There is at least one bit of news, a talk, meeting, sale, or decision that will still require some flexibility around one or more of these topics but overall the flow is much easier today with these themes. It could bring together what we are doing with income, purchases, products, or possessions in the mix.

THURSDAY Libra Moon is in charge and will keep us seeking balance or higher esthetics or connect us with partners, clients, specialists, reps, or other key players. If you are looking for one of those romantic, sexy days with your partner this one could be it. If you are looking to connect over financial matters or positive changes you’ve been working towards with specialists, business partners, clients, or the like, this could be it as well. Mars is even happy, helping us get busy with the kids, lover, creative venture, or recreational pursuit in the story.

FRIDAY is really just about how flexible we can be when it comes to this partner, client, specialist, agent, attorney, competitor, advocate, or other relationship. We are either looking at our own needs or involvement with income, purchases, possessions, gifts, or products with them or we are dealing with values, how we are being valued or where we are with the things we are building or our pleasure with this person. Be the willow.

SATURDAY Mercury moves into Taurus at 8:15am Eastern and will tour this sign until the 25th. Mercury in Taurus slows our mind down enough that we can start to think about the pleasures in life. We may find we are digging in on matters important to us a bit more as it can be a more stubborn sign. But it brings tenacity and solid strength to our choices for the most part and allows us to start to get into talks, meetings, sales, interviews, auditions, or writing that focus on our income needs, our purchases, or what we are doing with our possessions or products. I do want to give you a heads up that the 12th when Mercury will square Pluto, the 17th/18th when Mercury will square Mars, and the 24th when Mercury will conjunct Uranus may give us a run for our money with these topics so note those days as days when things could be more challenging in these areas of life. Continue to be flexible with partners, clients, specialists, reps, or other key players in the first part of the day. Once the Moon moves into Scorpio at 3:58pm Eastern we will then go into more profound, dark or power-driven arenas on an emotional level. We may wish to focus on financial, sexual, social, or online intersts but I have to tell you the energy combinations are intense the rest of the day and may challenge in some of this or at least push you to do more.

SUNDAY is Mother’s Day, Happy Mother’s Day to all you lovely Moms out there, that includes you fur baby Moms! We continue on in Scorpio Moon energy so most likely there are third-party situations or deeper moments playing out. There is an adjustment to Venus early on, so we’ll need to be flexible when it comes to our own needs around love, women or beauty, or with income or our enjoyment today. There is also a square to Mars so we may just be a lot busier, pushing to make things happen, working through some anger/fights, or motivating ourselves when it comes to the kids, lover, creative venture, or recreational pursuit in the mix. The DAILY ASTROLOGY May 4th

'Na na na na, na na na na, hey hey ey, good-bye'. Yep, that's the song I got in my head (NEW * Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye - Steam {Stereo}) as I started to write this today so perhaps it's for someone out there, lol. A song from 1969, oh boy, and of course I had to go look it up, it released in November of that year when the Karmic South Node was at the same degrees of Virgo that it is now so again, perhaps this is a sign of releasing for some of us, just thought I'd share that one. On the world stage we could be saying good-bye to Bernie Sanders, or someone with similar placements.

So, the astrology today is all about Pluto Retrograding at 11:27am Eastern. From now until Oct 13th we get to review, recoup, rekindle, release, or rework things that have gone on since November. It will focus on mortality, births, power, or control issues/needs, deep, profound transformations, financial scenarios, sexual interests, reproduction, divorce, crime, jealousy, or third-party situations. It will play out around our freedoms, aspirations or original projects, through the collective, with our friends, associates, groups, or online interests, or with astrology, charities, science, or gatherings. Time to take a deep breath, look at what has gone on here and what, if anything, could be fixed or let go over the months ahead.

Leo Moon is square to the Sun in Taurus this morning but in flow with Mercury and Jupiter the rest of the day. That means in the morning our desire for love or creative outlets, focus on the kids or recreational pursuits may need to hold off for a bit until we get through the Sun in Taurus needs. Perhaps there is something around being valued or a need to go earn a living, make a purchase, or focus on possessions or products that keeps us from just playing around.
