We are still in the United States Chiron Return until March 8th, last occurring 1973-1974 and coinciding with Watergate and the oil embargo. It brings up wounds and vulnerabilities for the country to heal. It began April 18-May 6, 2024, returned Oct 19-Nov 12, 2024 and ends Feb 15-March 8, 2025. We can expect to see this continue to play out with any in positions of leadership (past and present), things happening at the White House, anything with our money, or the institutions controlling finances March 1-8. Good news is it won't return here after until the years 2074-2075.
March brings one of the more powerful months in years for focus on all things Aries. Aries is our ego, our will, our courage, our leadership abilities, our initiatory capabilities, our body, our physical involvement, our anger, our fights, warlike tendencies, things involving the head or our blood, our passions, our motivation, our image, brand, name, title, or needs. So, let’s look at all the energy gathering here and what it might mean.
Venus Retrogrades in Aries to kick off our month of March, turning at 7:36pm Eastern on the 1st and heading back into her do-over in this sign now through the 27th. She will then take her Retrograde into Pisces so this first 27 days will give us the opportunity to revisit the past, rework the current, take a break, exit something, allow for others to exit, or release whatever we may need to in our do-over. Venus is about love or income, beauty, pleasure, or women in our lives. In Aries we are readdressing, releasing or reworking things involving our own needs, that impact us personally, that address old passions, anger, fights, or activities, and engage our ego when it comes to love or income, beauty or pleasure. So maybe we go back to an old hairstyle or make-up regime for beauty or we physically connect with an old love interest or revisit our own passions with a current lover, revamp our brand/image, or maybe we go back to earn money in an old arena or we renegotiate our agreement involving our name on the contract, as examples. When Venus goes Direct in Pisces on April 12th, she’ll then re-enter Aries in Direct motion on April 30th and tour here until June 6th so we will definitely get another shot on moving things forward in these areas then, it’s a long story this one.
Mercury then enters Aries on the 3rd of March to bring his penchant for conversations, news, gossip, flirtations, meetings, writing, interviews, sales, offers, and decisions to these personal and physical needs. This means we can pitch our ideas, promote our own interests, get into talks or make decisions about our body, involvement, image, brand, name, title, or needs, it’s all about us! Mercury is in Direct motion, carrying these things forward, until the 15th at which point Mercury Retrograde begins. Yes, you got that right, we now have 2 personal planetary energies, Venus and Mercury, both Retrograde in Aries. Mercury Retrograde can bring some mix-ups, miscommunications or malfunctioning items where we are concerned so give some wiggle room, double check facts and figures, try to not put your name on the dotted line until this is over if possible, and keep receipts. We are very literally in flux now so try to stay loose. Mercury will bring up talks or meetings from the past, help you run into past scenarios when out and about locally or on short trips, get you to revisit anything you signed in the past, or to review, release or rework something said, signed, sold, or decided about your body, image, brand, name, title, or involvement in things. Mercury will be in Retrograde in Aries until March 29th at which point Mercury Retrograde will back into Pisces, joining Venus Retrograde there. Mercury will Retrograde Pisces from the 29th until April 7th, go Direct there April 7-April 16th, and return to Aries in Direct motion April 16-May 10th. So just like with Venus, we will have more to the story in the Spring, it’s a long story.
The Sun moves into Aries on the 20th and will tour here over the next 30 days. This puts a spotlight on our body, our physical involvement in life, our ego, our passions, anger and activities, our image, brand, name, title, identity, or needs, and helps us show up and move the ball forward. It gives us an edge here and allows for more vital life force involved in what we are doing for ourselves. It's our time to shine!
By the 29th we have a NEW MOON SOLAR ECILPSE in Aries! This occurs at 6:58am Eastern at the 9th degree of Aries and will be a very powerful launch forward over the next 2 weeks. This is about starting something new or taking current interests forward into what come next or some new direction or chapter. Again, it is about our body, involvement on a physical level, our image, brand, name, title, or identity, and our passions, motivation, fighting spirit, or actions. A Solar Eclipse is 3 times more powerful than a typical New Moon and may help us eclipse something out if it is blocking this forward momentum but, it’s about the new beginnings, not the endings. An example is we could decide we are going to start a new health regime for our body, eclipsing out the old, out of shape person or unhealthy body, or even eclipsing out certain habits or foods, and launching ourselves on a new workout and eating regime that could transform us. The things we start now can hold sway over the next 6 months so make these 2 weeks count.
Possibly the biggest news for the month and all of this influx into Aries has to do with Neptune. Neptune rules Pisces and has spent just shy of the last 15 years moving through Pisces, since April, 2011. At 8am Eastern on the 30th Neptune enters Aries, leaving Pisces behind for a while. This move into Aries is occurring for the first time in any of our lifetimes, since his last journey in this sign of courage, leadership, ego, war, and the physical man between 1861- 1875. Of course, it cannot be discounted that 164 years ago when Neptune last entered Aries the first 5 years of that transit coincided with the Civil War, 1861-1865. Neptune is one of the collective signs, a sign with karma, hidden agendas and hidden enemies, self-sabotaging energies, deceptions, addictions, chemicals, oceans, and all kinds of other issues with boundaries when under duress and in Aries it became about the individual body showing up, getting warlike, and going big. I bring this to your attention not to scare you but to remind you how fast something can go really wrong and so that you are responsible for doing your part to NOT escalate things when you can. Now for the positive side of this influence. It is epic, it is about giant swaths of impact imbuing each of us artistically, spiritually, romantically, and with the good karma as well. We can radiate these things over the years ahead, we can become these things through our physical practices. We will become a more romantic character through our physical valor and passion, we will become more spiritual or psychic through our prayer, meditation, and study of these things. We will become more artistic by practicing our skills, by doing it, developing it, making things happen. And when it comes to the more challenging side, each individual will meet with their secrets, their addictions, and the past lives that matter this time around so that we can do something about it, make something happen that will impact who we are. To this end, again, we want to lean into the positive side, wash ourselves clean, tune into our intuition and calling, and keep to the high road. Neptune will tour Aries now through Oct 22nd this year, (Retrograde from July 4th-Oct 22nd), so this year is a preview, we are getting our feet wet. Neptune will then return to Aries on Jan 26th, 2026 to tour this sign until March, 2039.
So, that’s a lot of Aries energy, yes?! The other things going on this month are a FULL MOON LUNAR ECLIPSE in Virgo on the 14th. This peaks at 2:55am Eastern at almost 24 degrees so for those of you on the West Coast, that would be at 11:44pm on the 13th. This is a very powerful climax and we will begin feeling it build as soon as the morning of the 12th and it will continue to build until peak time. It is about major endings, breakthroughs, celebrations, or achievements involving our work, co-workers, hired help, or paperwork, or with our health, health, health, or our wonderful animals. It is possible that something is eclipsed out altogether around these themes as part of this big moment so keep it in mind if you see something escalating. This Eclipse is sitting within 3 degrees of the Karmic South Node so we very well may see something involving Fate, a rebalancing of Karmic give and take, a loss, or the return of a past life soul tied to what is culminating in these arenas of our lives now.
And finally, on the 27th and 29th respectively Venus and Mercury Retrograde into Pisces, backing out of Aries. So, our do-overs are now going to be focused on art, film, music, poetry, romance, prayer, meditation, yoga, psychic interests, magic, dreams, signs from the other side, deceptions, illusions, secrets, addictions, institutions, research, investigations, boundaries, water, chemicals, or hidden enemies. Venus will have us rekindling, releasing or reworking things here that are tied to the past or current situation with love, income, beauty, or pleasures Mar 27-Apr 12th. Mercury will have us rekindling, releasing or reworking things in these Piscean arenas via talks, meetings, sales, short trips, moves, local activities, siblings, neighbors, transportation, electronics, offers, agreements, news, or decisions Mar 29-Apr 7. Here we go.
