The DAILY ASTROLOGY April 18

I was asked by a few folks about why they weren't feeling the boost from the New Moon in Aries just yet and so I'll share the answer here with you in case you are feeling that as well. Mars, the ruler of Aries, is inching towards his merger with Saturn, just a degree away from Saturn the day of the New Moon yesterday, and today, then on top of Saturn on Sunday on the 7th degree. So, Saturn can make things a lot more serious, it can slow things down and test us about our actions, commitments, mastery, and ambitions. Perhaps this slower approach to the beginning of this New Moon was needed to really make decisions about what we want. Our ego, will and personal needs are wrapped up in this new start/new moon, and the New Moon itself also sits with Chiron, digging up old wounds for healing or hurting us in a way to help us make choices. So, you know, much more will start kicking off after tomorrow's conjunction and it will happen quickly between Sunday night and Monday throughout the day. 

We have flow and opportunity today between the things we want and our emotions, the things we earn, buy, or possess, and our home, family, or foundational needs, and between our values, being valued and our beliefs. The door is open here so do your part to participate in what you can to walk through it. We also have an active Mercury, nudging us to talk, think, meet, pitch, write, or make choices based on our needs, will, ego, or involvement in a situation. This is linked to profound transformations, deep changes, what we can hash out with friends, groups, or online, or about power, finances, sex, or third-party influences. Much comes up and out today. More simply we could find it a good day to shop, dig into things material, get in there in the earth and plant flowers, carrots or onions, dig through things in our basement, or remember our own roots and family interests.
