To say everything shifts in July seems extreme but here I go, "Everything shifts in July." Now, do you want to know why? Well, ok then, first, Mercury, the planet in charge of our thoughts, communications and decision making has been in backwards motion the last month but come July 1st he goes Direct, taking us out into new territory, bringing new meetings, talks, offers, agreements, writing projects, sales, and community activity. He speeds through the sign of Gemini in Direct motion until the 13th so these first 2 weeks are important for anything you are meeting or deciding about with siblings, vehicles, electronics, neighbors, moves, or those sales, agreements, writing projects, interviews, auditions, and short trips. From the 13th through the 31st he will zip through Cancer, officially passing his shadow of where he's been during his Retrograde process on the 15th, so there will be a lot of new information and choices opening up with home, family, parents, roommates, renovations, real estate deals, and moves during this phase. The last day of the month he moves into Leo giving us all a taste of what will come in August regarding love, kids, creative projects, and fun.
Next, we have a FULL MOON in Capricorn on the 12th that is bringing real closure to some major goal we've been pursuing for quite some time. It will be a high point when things finally come through or you are recognized for your efforts, you achieve or celebrate, or mark endings and wrap things up. Your career or your own business may be part of this high point or it may be about another life-defining moment peaking for you. It is possible that there is a culmination with a boss, parent, judge, or some other authority type as you reach a climax with them at this point. All in all, it will be fueling what you strive for during the period building up to this peak so prepare to aim high.
The next shift is a whopper; Jupiter moves into Leo. The Jupiter themes are: be more adventurous, embrace all cultures, keep the faith, pursue legal channels, seek higher education or teach what you know, have or attend a wedding, find ways to disseminate the information through media, marketing, publishing, or broadcasting, travel to far away places or interact with people at a distance. If you did some of this can you see how your creative energy might rise or your projects might open up, how your love life might get a boost or your involvement with kids might take off? As Jupiter crosses into this territory take note of any longings in these areas or offers/people that show up who are suggesting these roads forward, trust your ability to embrace something bigger or to expand what you have into something more. Finally, Jupiter in Leo can bring entitlement issues or that 'I'm the reigning queen/king' malady that can get you into trouble so watch out for bigger than big issues around 'I'm taking that because I want it or because I can' or any other demands that come off as despotic. Again, check the world stage for leaders and countries asserting their will/ego to conquer over others as a faith based right, it will give you a major clue as to what not to do in your own realm.
Next, Venus leaves fun and flirty Gemini to move into homey Cancer on the 18th where she will tour the rest of the month. This brings more security needs and emotional clinginess to love and will focus income potential on home environment, family businesses, roommates, renovations, parents, or real estate deals. Venus in this territory will smooth things out that are playing out in these areas, she may bring a beneficial female to help buy/sell that property, decorate your space, come on board as a roomie, or help out with your parent or move. She will definitely make expressing love in the home with those closest to you more important and you will find this is the best time to beautify your rooms with art or new plush surroundings.
Saturn has been in Retrograde in the sign of Scorpio since the first week of March. This has been your time to go back and deal with any responsibilities that were tied to the past in financially shared matters, life and death scenarios, your sex life, the divorce, or with some third party situation. Now, on the 20th, Saturn goes Direct. You will now be moving forward again with loans, debt reduction, inheritance matters, bankruptcy proceedings, the tax man, your insurance policies, investments, settlements, alimony, child support, commissions, a partner's money, the divorce, new sexual attractions or the next level in your current sex life, with a birth or reproductive matter, or with triangles/third parties. Note what comes up for you at this point with endings, commitments, responsibilities, limits, or ambitions regarding these topics. You will be working through the last part of Scorpio energy between now and December 23rd when Saturn exits Scorpio and enters Sagittarius for the first time in 29 years. Saturn will Retrograde back into Scorpio for a 4 month stint next summer, June-September, giving you one last shot at getting real about the above themes but you will only get a shot at the last couple degrees of the sign then. For now, this is it, the last run over degrees 16 - 27 for another 29 years. Do not let it go by without doing your part to step up, master something new, take the lead, and be responsible.
Next, Uranus is going to Retrograde on the 21st, also on the 16th degree but of Aries. These two giants shifting directions within a day of each other, both on 16 degrees of Scorpio and Aries respectively, mean that the shift makes an adjustment aspect to each other and so will we need to be ready to adapt to shifting situations. They shift in the 2 signs ruled by war planets Pluto and Mars so remain vigilant in your own life that as you adjust to the new vibratory energy within yourself you don't act out in ways that may cause wars that could have been avoided with a bit of conscious approach. The world stage will highlight some of this as the trigger happy can't hold back on provoking. If you are aware of this energetic shift and the need to adjust you can harness the new directions to help you go back and shake things up on a personal or physical level. It's a period now with Uranus Retrograde until December 21st to reconnect to what is original about yourself, to look at ways to get in shape that are exciting or stimulate you in some way, to free yourself from past identities, names or titles or to reconnect with these past monikers and see if you want to revise them in some way. You may be ready to change your approach to others and this period will help you come to terms with what you need.
The Sun moves into Leo on the 22nd where he will tour for the next 30 days putting a spotlight children, love, creative projects, recreation, and speculation. This period will be about stepping up and pouring more personal or physical energy into these interests. You may fall in love or spend more time with your lover or in the pursuit of love, you may lead children in something or take responsibility for kids, you may start to put your name out there or promote your brand in creative outlets or over creative endeavors. Again entitlement is the only issue to watch for, as you take the lead do not be despotic, watch for how our leaders show up for this round.
Next, and this is a big one as well, Mars exits Libra and moves into Scorpio on the 25th. So, the cosmos in its infinite wisdom, has given us all a very prolonged tour of Mars in the relationship sign of Libra. Usually Mars kicks his way through a sign in about 7 weeks but Mars entered Libra on December 7th of 2013 and is only now exiting the sign on the 25th of July 2014! That is because you were meant to DO SOMETHING with or about a romantic partner, business partner, agent, attorney, specialist, the clients, an opponent, the competition, or some other relationship during this period. Did you? Did you bring your fighting spirit to an attorney to help you make something happen or did you join forces with a partner to get a business up and running, did you actively engage with a romantic partner through passion and anger to move some mountain together or finally make the break? Did you hire a specialist, counselor, therapist, anger management counselor, or mediator to work through issues with someone? Did you land an agent or fire one, head-butt the competition or opponent, or in any other way make use of this dynamic, enduring energy to make something happen with or about a significant relationship? Well, now that you've done what you could about all of that, (and hopefully you are reading this at the start of July and can still make use of any last efforts needed here with that other person in the first 25 days of the month), now that you've made your way through Libra Mars moves into Scorpio on the 25th and will tour here through September 13th. So, Mars in Scorpio will light a fire under your sex life, sexual issues or hang-ups, sexual attractions, and bring more passion and heat. Mars in Scorpio will motivate you to DO SOMETHING about your financial situation, go get your commissions, settlement, taxes filed, insurance paid or settled, alimony or child support set up, loan, do something about the bankruptcy, inheritance, debt, or investments, fight for what you need or take action through third parties. Mars in Scorpio will put divorce proceedings or settlements into motion, bring up the fighting spirit over these matters and motivate action.
