Zoe Moon Astrology SEPTEMBER MONTHLY Horoscopes 2024
September is one heck of an active month so buckle up, it’s going to keep us busy!
It starts with the planet, Uranus, Retrograding at 11:18am Eastern on the 1st. This shift in direction can be felt as things shake, rattle and roll. Uranus rules our innovations and inventions, genius, perversion, science, astrology, charities, revolutions, lightning, electricity, the sky, earthquakes, our friendships, associates, groups, the internet, big tech, digital everything, original projects, sudden changes, and gatherings. It is shifting in the sky at the 27th degree of the sign Taurus. This helps us look at what has occurred through these Uranus influences on our money, purchases, possessions, or products, as well as around our values, how we are being valued, the things we build, and our pleasures. We may see something shift in these realms today as the energy changes direction but overall it is about giving us the months ahead to reassess, release, rekindle, or rework something here. Uranus will be Retrograde until the end of January so whatever occurs here in the beginning, we’ll be dealing with until that time. Examples could be a shift or sudden change with digital currency, online attacks on our purchasing power or money, a friend suddenly exiting the scene for the months ahead, or some unexpected event at a gathering.
Uranus Retrograde will be conjunct the nasty fixed star Algol from Sept 27th until Oct 29th so we may have some collective issues going on as it seems we all are ‘losing our heads’ or thrust into some event that we must rally to overcome. Caution is advised with the throat and neck, any gatherings or crowds, and with the things being said during this period.
The Uranus Retrograde is not the only significant thing occurring on the 1st of the month. We also have Pluto taking his Retrograde out of Aquarius and backing it into Capricorn starting at 8:10pm Eastern. This is very powerful as it marks the beginning of the end with Pluto’s influences in the sign of the establishment, leadership, corporations, and conventions. Pluto Retrogrades in this sign today through Oct 11th and then will go Direct in Capricorn from Oct 11th through Nov 19th before exiting this zone altogether for our lifetimes. Therefore, these 2 months and almost 3 weeks of Pluto in Capricorn are significant.
Pluto started this journey back in 2008 with the directive to destroy or deconstruct, razing things to the ground and then rebirthing in some new empowered way. This is the transit that was in play when the United States came into being 240+ years ago and once this exits on Nov 19th it will be another 240+ years before it returns to this sign. Pluto rules ruthless power, control, death, birth, sex, the criminal underworld, jealousy, triangles, divorce, and the financial world. So, we are now to revisit anything that still needs to be released, rekindled, or reworked with leaders, the establishment, our personal goals, career, status, fame, or career interests here now through Oct 11th and then move forward with these changes Oct 11th through Nov 19th before resting with whatever we’ve managed to accomplish here going forward. Watch for clues as to what this will mean for us on the world stage around this day, as well as what it is we might need to go back over in our own lives to revise or release. I might also add that Pluto will be Retrograde and then Direct on the 29th degree of Capricorn, sitting this degree the entire period. This is an anaretic or critical degree that holds more power for culminating events. We are witnessing, in other words, a very important major ending for the US when it comes to government, leadership, power, and control, and there may be something equivalent in our own lives wrapping up.
On Sept 2nd we have a New Moon in Virgo that kicks in at 9:58pm Eastern and will be in play for the next 2 weeks. A New Moon is most powerful at the beginning and although it continues to give us that cosmic boost forward throughout the 2 weeks, it weakens the further away from day one that it goes so if you want to initiate something new or take a current interest forward in new ways, be proactive from the start! The focus of this New Moon is on the details, simplifying our lives, getting organized, cleaning, decluttering, going holistic, focusing on health, work, or animals, or involving paperwork, hired help, or co-workers. Mercury will overlap here, moving into Virgo on the 9th and staying until the 26th. His presence in this territory brings more potential for talks, interviews, or meetings about these subjects, more writing, sales, short trips, or local activities about them, or more involvement with siblings, moves, neighbors, vehicles, or electronics in the mix. Make the most of this time!
At 3:46pm Eastern on the 4th of September Mars moves into Cancer and will tour here until Nov 3rd. It’s been about a year and a half since Mars toured the sign of emotions and nurturing, family and home, moves, renovations and real estate deals, history, ancestry, parents, and roommates, so think back to what you may have accomplished back between March 25-May 20th, 2023. Mars is again ready to fire things up here, to bring more passion into these arenas of life, to fight the good fight or deal with anger issues, to tackle accidents or fire issues in these realms, to get motivated and make things happen. The only caveat here is that Mars does not much like being in Cancer since he feels slowed down a bit or mucked up with feelings with all of this water energy to tread through. So, don’t get discouraged, once on the other side of this transit we should be able to look back and see that we got a lot accomplished, it can just feel like it’s taking longer while we are in it. Also, Mars when passionate in this sign can lead to deeper emotional infusion in the story, while Mars, when angered, tends to want to have an outburst and move on but in Cancer will find it lingers, spreads out, is super emotional, and not so fun, so avoid fights if possible over this period.
The 17th brings a Full Moon Lunar Eclipse at 25 degrees of Pisces. This perfects by 10:34pm Eastern and so we may be feeling this culminating energy in the build-up in the days leading up to it, reaching the zenith of the energy by the evening of the 17th. This is about final endings, major achievements, or powerful celebrations as the energy is at its height and the focus here is on art, film, music, painting, poetry, romance, spirituality, magic, karmic matters, secrets, addictions, boundaries, water issues, chemical issues, institutions, investigations, recuperative periods, or research. Wrap it up, aim high, and be willing to let go where need be.
The Sun moves into Libra on the 22nd and will tour here for 30 days. This period illuminates the balance in our lives, situations involving justice or equality, our higher esthetics, and our relationships with partners, clients, specialists, competitors, advocates, attorneys, agents, or the like. It is our cue to start showing up and getting more involved here, to pursue our interests, promote our brand, image, name, or title, make it physical, or go for what we want. Mercury overlaps this by entering Libra on 26th and touring this sign until Oct 13th. This brings more news, talks, interviews, meetings, sales, writing, or decisions with these relationships or about the balance, justice, equality, or higher esthetics. There may be more short trips or local activities going on now or a move, or we may focus on what we are doing in these Libra realms involving siblings, neighbors, vehicles, or electronics.
Venus exits this relationship zone on the 22nd and enters Scorpio now through Oct 17th. This means when it comes to sex, financial interest, power, control, births, deaths, divorce, or third-party stories going on in our lives that we have more potential now to smooth out issues, attract the love or money flow, or focus on beauty or pleasures here. It also means that when it comes to love or money, beauty or pleasure, that it is deeper, more profound, more jealous, about changes, or how we might evolve the story. Here we go!
