The DAILY ASTROLOGY Aug 23rd

WEDNESDAY AUGUST 23rd

All things Virgo; Health, Work, Animals, and what flows from these things; the details, getting organized, cleanliness, hiring people to help, working with others, and paperwork, this is where we are now at and part of it is in Retrograde starting today. Hmmm, I wonder what might be coming back around from the past in these areas? But I'm getting ahead of myself, let's take a look at the bright side of this season. First off, the Sun moved into Virgo at 5:01am Eastern this morning kicking off 30 days of focus here. This illumination in this sign pulls us to start showing up and getting more personally or physically involved with these topics. It helps us pursue our own interests, stand out or take the lead here. It can be a great time to seek work or to start a new health regime, or perhaps to start bolstering our immune system with holistic foods and immune-boosting vitamins. It can be a period when we are more involved with our animals or animals in general, a time to clean out cupboards, closets and pantries, organize our desk, our laptop, or files, show up physically and be of service to someone in need, or to bring others on board in our efforts in any of these areas whether we are working alongside them or paying for their services. At 3:59pm Eastern Mercury Retrograde begins in the same zone, in Virgo, and will be Retrograde until Sept 15th, then passing it's post shadow by Sept 30th. So, part of this story with work, health, animals, paperwork, hired help, co-workers, cleaning, or organizing has to do with going back to the past and revisiting stories, people, ideas, or situations there to either pick back up on something again to see if it can be revitalized, to let go of something or get better closure, or to rework ongoing situations so they are workable. So, work projects from the past may be back on the table or we might think about leaving a job, interviewing for a place of employment we once worked at, or relaunching the work we've put on hold for some reason. We could run into old co-workers or see a current co-worker exit for one reason or another or a co-worker may contact us about picking back up on an old project. Ditto for anyone we hire to help us. It can be a great time to reaevaluate our health and go back to better eating, get rid of bad foods or bad habits that are detrimental to our health, revisit an old workout routine, a gym, yoga studio or hike we used to do and give it another go, or go back to the doctor or healer for another look at an issue. It could also bring an old health issue up for reevaluation or mark the end of a health issue that has been ongoing for a while. If an animal has been lost it may return or you may get better closure now, or you may go back to an old dog park to revisit time there or pick back up on animal rescue or adoption. Slow down, it's a do-over, forward we go with our involvement and needs in these areas thanks to the Sun, and backwards we go to review, release, rekindle, or rework things thanks to Mercury in Retrograde. Do, of course, keep an eye on any mix-ups, miscommunications or malfunctioning mechanicals or electronics associated with these topics since things can be glitchy when in Retrograde, double check facts and figures, keep receipts, and warranties. But do remember any of this kind of frustrating stuff is to illustrate what we might have missed otherwise and give us our shot at figuring things out. Also, note that this is one of the more positive Retrogrades we've had in some time, with September 4th standing out in some way on a bigger level with these matters, so let's make the most of it!
