Happy New Year 2026! It's hard to believe but this is the 18th year that I'm ringing in the New Year with you guys and I am truly grateful for the Light and Love you have brought into my life over these years, may we rock this New Year together! So, we are coming out of the grumpy energy that's been testing us since Dec 8th, sweet, but will have to work through one more day of feelings about it. Mercury squared Neptune at 8:33am Eastern this morning and the day is now about moving through this last powerful push by working through our emotions about it. This is because the Gemini Moon, ruled by Mercury, is picking up the thread and carrying it through the squares the rest of the day and into tomorrow morning, perfecting at 2:09am and at 7:24am Eastern. So, we have heard something, or our minds have been in busy mode over something or there has been news, a talk, meeting, or decision pushing us over our happiness, prosperity, growth, or ideals. It has brought up boundary issues, secrets, deceptions, or karmic cycles for us to review.
So, the big question is, do we have something to say about it today, has it all been said or is the decision obvious? Will we hear from them about it or is silence our answer? Or has it been an internal battle that we are now wrapping up and need to close that door? We have finished the real work with whatever this situation is now and all that is left is to process our feelings about it and see where that takes us. If you are saying, 'But Zoe, I've already worked it all out!' then you can use this energy to push yourself with a brother, sister, neighbor, move, the vehicles, a short trip, any sales, the writing, or lots of local activities. Just keep in mind that there could be issues out and about today with the squares, be extra careful on the road and with the things being said when engaging others out there. And if this energy hits you in a way that makes you feel like not doing a dang thing today but lounge about, that's ok too, follow your feelings about it.
At 4:11pm Eastern we experience the first real shift into a more upbeat, easier flow with Mercury as he moves into Capricorn. Why you may ask, lol? Because he is now out of the sign of his Detriment and out of the squares to the other planets and into flow with them. Mercury is dropping his suitcase and travel gear off for a briefcase and tailored suit. Mercury in Capricorn is thinking about goals, status, a parent, boss, or other higher-up, the time and effort needed to achieve something, steps to take to reach that goal, things associated with fame or reputation, responsibilities, the establishment, corporate, or leadership moving forward. Mercury will help with ideas about these topics or to get us into talks or meetings. He can help us pitch ideas, interview or audition, focus on sales, writing or agreements, or field offers and make decisions. Awards, honors and respect are kept in this territory as well. We have Mercury here until the 20th so make the most of it! And yes, you can wait to start until tomorrow or even Monday, it is still a Holiday, and the real 'hit 'em out of the ballpark' days for this energy will probably be on the 12th and 13th, along with the 18th and 19th!
