ZOE MOON ASTROLOGY JANUARY 2020 MONTHLY HOROSCOPES
Happy New Year everyone, we are going to start the year off with a bang! First, Mars moves into Sagittarius on the 3rd and will tour here until Feb 16th. Mars fires things up, brings more passion into it, anger or fights over it and action about it. Sagittarius is about religion and politics, media and marketing, law and higher education, travel and foreign interests, situations at a distance and import/export, and weddings and other ceremonies. So, we are kicking 2020 off with a whole lot more going on in these areas than we’ve seen in a couple years and this is such an optimistic and expansive field, I say let’s get our passion on and make things happen!
Next, we have major energy gathering between the 6th-14th which may bring a major event out in the world, in our own life, or set the stage for it to occur as Mars triggers the degree between now and the end of March or again when Mars squares it July 21-Aug 31. First, on the 6th Jupiter begins his 6-day passage across the Karmic South Node, ending on the 11th. The last time this occurred was at the end of 1925 so it’s likely to say we have no experience of its influence. Perhaps Saudi Arabia or the Royal Family/Queen Elizabeth or even the United States or President Trump will be in the news since it seems these charts are connected to this period (and perhaps many other power structures, these are the ones I looked at). In our own lives and globally we have Jupiter, ruler of religion, politics, media, law, education, travel, foreign interests, and ceremonies, in Capricorn, the sign of mastery, time, limits, endings, long-term commitments, responsibilities, structures that support, leaders, companies, countries, systems, the establishment, authorities, fame, career, and ambition. So, having this merging with the Karmic South Node, which denotes a loss or ending, or a rebalancing of a karmic scenario or the re-emergence of a past life soul ready to connect again this lifetime about one or more of the above mentioned topics, it is likely going to be felt rather strongly. I’m thinking we might be ready to let go of certain things to move forward?
At the same time this is occurring, Saturn hits the same degree that Pluto is on, merging energies there on the 22nd degree between the 6th and 14th, with it perfecting on the 12th. So, this is overlapping the Jupiter/Karmic Node focus on Capricorn energy and to get some perspective, Saturn and Pluto have not met here in over 500 years! Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn and they share limits, endings, long-term commitments, responsibilities, rules, regulations, time, authority figures, career needs, goals, status, fame, leadership, countries, corporations, structures that support, and ambitions. Pluto is about destruction and rebuilding, death and rebirth, power and control, obsessions and jealousy, manipulations and triangles, sex and reproduction, all financial matters outside of income (loans, debt, inheritance, taxes, investments, settlements, alimony, and the like). So, we have something major taking place here in the combination and it may bring a major event or set the stage for one. In 1518 when last this occurred Martin Luther pinned his doctrine to the church door and overturned the power balance in the world by shaking the Catholic Churches grip on God away from the priest class with their indulgences and power over admittance to Heaven and put it in the hands of the people via Protestantism and a direct line to God. We may be in for something similar playing out with the power balance and structures in place, whatever they might be, in 2020. No one knows for sure which structures are going to fall but fall they will so do your best to have backup food and water and money incase it gets dangerous before it transforms us or incase it is about a financial systems crash or toppling of a leader or regime or destructive conflict being ignited or earthquake or other natural event that is destructive, preparedness is your best bet.
Of course this should be enough to rock our world but no, there’s more! In the middle of this second week of January-with Jupiter on the Karmic South Node and Saturn on Pluto, all in Capricorn, we have a Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Cancer (opposite Capricorn) on the 10th. This is 3 times more powerful than a typical culmination under a Full Moon and is focused on our home, land, country, family, security, emotional needs, as well as on moves, renovations, real estate deals, parents, roommates, history, and ancestry. An Eclipse can be triggered 4-5 days prior or after, as well So, something is coming to a major culmination, a whopper of an ending or a major breakthrough, an extraordinary achievement, some kind of final finale, or powerful celebration involving some of these topics. A Full Moon is when the Moon is opposite the Sun and at this time that is in Capricorn. Today, as this perfects not only will the Moon oppose the Sun but Mercury, Pluto and Saturn as well, all in Capricorn. This means there is something important going on here today as well with personal goals, career, status, leadership, corporations, rules and regulations, or authority figures and it will stay in elevated and charged up energy through the 12th when Saturn and Pluto will meet on the same degree in Capricorn.
So, to recap, this is a once in a lifetime scenario playing out in the second week of January, bringing something to a close or other kind of peak as old structures fall away or the stage is set for this to occur over the next few months, and we begin the process of rebuilding and rising from the ashes and into a more empowered story. This also involves Saturn; responsibilities, ambitions, structures that support, goals, timing, endings, commitments, authority figures, career interests, or status together with Pluto themes; destruction and rebirth, death and actual birth, power, control, financial scenarios, sexual interests, deep change, upheaval, or transformation. Mercury will meet with Saturn and Pluto on the same degree bringing news, talks, meetings, sales, writing, interviews, offers, or decisions into the story or perhaps focusing on a Gemini, Virgo, Scorpio, or Capricorn in the equation.
By the 13th the Sun comes to sit with Pluto and Saturn as well, bringing us into the story on a personal or physical level, making it about our interests, body, image, brand, name, title, or needs here or getting us more involved, while the Full Moon Eclipse Moon brings emotions to a head and some destined endings, celebrations or achievements impacting our country, land, home, family, or other rooted interests. Keep in mind most of us already know what this is going to be, we can feel the old guard decaying, the old structures toppling, the dark underbelly floundering, and know it’s time to move on into the new. It happens now in January or is activated by Mars over the next few months as he builds to activate the degrees and the Spring Equinox Chart by the end of March. So, deep breath, something big this way comes.
Venus changes signs on the 13th, entering Pisces where she’ll now tour until Feb 7th. Pisces is where we get lost or escape reality, tune into our imagination and get inspired, fall pray to bad habits or addictions, keep or find out about secrets or deceptions, find our muse or enjoy film, music, painting, poetry, or other artistic outlets, find our spiritual path or pursue prayer, mediation, yoga, magic, or psychic interests, balance karma or connect with past life souls, investigate or research information, find time for romantic interests or clandestine affairs, deal with water, chemical or poison issues, or deal with hospitals or other institutions. So, we are now looking for Venus here which means love, women, income, or beauty topics may flower in these areas now. Venus may make the whole thing more enjoyable as well or be at the heart of what we are building or our desire for pleasure here.
On the 16th Mercury heads into Aquarius, followed by the Sun’s entry into this sign on the 20th and finally, a New Moon on the 24th in Aquarius. This means we are turning our focus to friends and associates, groups and online interests, astrology and charities, parties, events and gatherings, as well as freedom, original projects, inventions, and personal aspirations. Mercury here kicks off several weeks of more talks, meetings, sales, writing, interviews, offers, short trips, and decisions about it. The Sun here means we can now show up and get more personally or physically involved in these matters over the next 30 days, making it more about our own needs in the mix. The New Moon here means we get a 2-week cosmic boost that can help us to start something new or take a current interest to the next level with these matters. So, it seems it’s time to connect with your soul tribe and focus on the collective.

Happy New Year Aries. If ever there was a year to transform the direction of your life goals, career and garner some fame or recognition, this is it. Aim high, be willing to deconstruct the old to make way for the new, some of you have already set down this path as 2019 was winding down, for some it begins this month, either way, you should keep this at the back of your mind throughout the year, it is time to be open to major life changes. 2020 kicks off with more energy pouring into your 9th house and you are going to have this fired up activity here until Jan 16th. So, perhaps it’s time to go back to school or start teaching what you know or get more training. It could be your cue to travel or look into the travel industry or relocate at a distance or get involved with import/export or foreign matters. It could be about your beliefs, be they religious, political or philosophical and what you are ready to do about them. It could also be about tending to legal matters or fighting a legal battle, getting involved with a wedding or focusing on other ceremonies. Mars is bringing more passion, anger, fighting spirit, and motivation in these areas of life so it would seem to be ‘go’ time.
Between the 6-13th Jupiter is passing across the Karmic South Node in Capricorn for the first time since the early 1920’s. This means when it comes to your personal goals, status, fame, career, or the boss, parent, judge, mentor, or other authority figure in your life, something big is going on with Karma.
