Today is an important Mercury Retrograde day. Mercury in Scorpio will be backing into alignment with Saturn in Pisces and then with Jupiter in Cancer, creating a Grand Trine that covers most of our day. This is where things can flow and take on a life of their own in ways that ease or smooth things out. Mercury's job= listen, speak up, write it down, follow your hunches, allow your emotions to reconnect you to something in the mix, and see if you can't get a better understanding of things, revisit something on your heart, release what has been bothering you, get better closure/endings, or fix this once and for all, in epic do-over style. Mercury's topics=purging of things, changes being made, going deeper, looking at financials, sexual interests, reproductive needs, jealousy, obsession, manipulation, divorce, mortality, births, or third-party matters. Saturn's job=get serious, make commitments or end something, tackle responsibilities, put in the time or meet time deadlines, set or meet goals, deal with authority figures, get ambitious. Saturn's topics=artistic, romantic, or spiritual, dealing with institutions, recuperative needs, or research, or tackling bad habits, addictions, secrets, or deceptions. The Sun makes his last alignments from Scorpio this morning so we should be showing up for the powerful moments, things we are changing, things we are purging, our financial necessities, sex life, or divorce, and how we want to pursue our own interests here or involve our name, title, brand, image, or desires. This mimics things that have gone on throughout our week with Scorpio but is more personal or physical today. There can be something unexpected, social, online, around values, possessions, money, or purchases in the mix with someone and there can be something artistic, romantic or spiritual, or involving institutions or research in the mix and in flow.

The DAILY ASTROLOGY Nov 20th

Happy New Moon in Scorpio! It perfected at 1:47am Eastern this morning. We wake today with 2 weeks of momentum ahead of us that can give us that added boost forward in all things Scorpio. We can look at new things we want to start, current things we'd like to add to or current things we'd like to move into new chapters or directions. The topics involved are our financials such as loans, paying off debt, our credit cards, insurance policies, taxes, child support, partner's money, or any other outside resource on the list. Scorpio also and most notoriously rules sexuality, so we may spark up more attractions or take our current inner sexpot into new depths or stories. It rules reproduction and hormones so we could see progress with something here. It also rules divorce, one's mortality, births, and powerful transformations so we could make headway hear as well. If there has been something buried, dark, controlling, criminal, or underground that needs to be dealt with then this next 2 weeks could give you help with moving that along as well. And last but not least there is jealousy, possessiveness, obsessions, manipulations, power, or triangles in life that could finally be addressed now as well. So, remember, we all have Scorpio energy in our chart somewhere and it has 2 sides, the snake and the phoenix, use this time to disengage the lower vibrations and rise from the ashes so to speak in whatever one of these topics you aim at.

Do note that this New Moon is at 28 degrees of Scorpio but it is not just the Sun and Moon who came to sit on this degree together this morning (late last night for the west coast). Nope, Mercury Retrograde is also at 28 degrees of Scorpio at the same time this got underway, so all 3 planets merged their energy meaning that part of this new beginning, fresh start, next chapter, new direction of the New Moon involves something current or from the past and what we are doing to revisit, reassess, release, or rework it in this story. So, whether you need to clear the runway of past blockage to get your plane off the ground or you need to go back over something and get it right before takeoff, keep it in mind.

Also note that the planet Uranus is at 29 degrees of Taurus in opposition, while Neptune is at 29 degrees of Pisces in harmonic support. This could bring 1) something exciting, suddenly changing or crazy into the story from another that asks you to look at values, money, possessions, or purchases in the mix (Uranus), and it could 2) bring the imagination, inspiration, or magic into the equation in ways that support the forward motion via artistic, romantic, or spiritual interests, institutions, recuperative time, or research (Neptune). So that's the bulk of it concerning our New Moon potential and the planets involved.

Today also marks the midpoint/turning point of the Mercury Retrograde in the same energy field as our New Moon so it can be an important day of news, talks, or ideas that help us understand what this do-over has been about involving financial, sexual, reproductive, mortality, divorce, or third-party topics.

We're not done, lol! Although we are in our 2 week window of Scorpio New Moon momentum, the Moon then moved into Sagittarius this morning and is getting us in flow with Pluto in Aquarius today so that is also going on. It can mean we are tackling something big or over the top, that we feel more generous or expansive in our mood, that we are also focused on travel or distant situations, legal or educational needs, media or marketing ideas, or a ceremony, religious interest, or political agenda. This is in flow with friends, groups, and the internet in powerful or transformative ways.

The final influence impacting us today is the alignment between Uranus and Neptune. Like I noted above they are both at the 29th degree of signs that impact the New Moon potential but they are also doing their own thing with each other as they lock these 29th degrees in Taurus and Pisces. This is a once in a lifetime event as they sit the 'critical' degree of these signs, meaning the last degree before moving on, the degree with the most power after having spent years passing through the sign to come to the end of that energetic story. It grants lots of rewards from the meaning of the sign but can also impart one last lesson, it depends on your own chart with that, but it is highly powerful so likely to be experienced now. Uranus will hold the degree until Dec 2nd while Neptune will remain on it for the duration of his last passage here, in Retrograde on this 29th degree until Dec 10th, then Direct on the 29th degree until he leaves the sign on Jan 26th, 2026. So whatever they are doing with each other today seems to linger in earnest for a while here. Since Uranus takes 84 years to journey around the zodiac and Neptune takes 165 years, we won't be experiencing them here together again this lifetime which adds emphasis to the importance of their potential for us right now. So really look at how this opportunity alignment between them can add to your life story now by embracing the themes from each side in ways unique to your life, and see what shows up to guide you in the proper direction with it now. Uranus in Taurus=innovation, excitement, genius, original ideas/projects, social interests, the internet, astrology, charities, big tech, AI, gatherings, or causes tied to values, income, purchases, products, or possessions. Neptune in Pisces=the imagination, inspiration, magic, karmic cycles, spirituality, institutions, research, tackling secrets, deception, or addictions, the artistic talents/projects, or romantic ties. Mercury Retrograde in Scorpio is quite active this morning so we may hear from others, run into the past, swirl and dip into a current situation, rethink a thing or two, go back to the drawing board, and reassess where we're at with loans, debt, inheritance, taxes, insurance, settlements, alimony, child support, royalties, a partner's money, or other financial matters, or we may revisit something sexual, reproductive, criminal, manipulative, jealous, possessive, about divorce, a birth, death, or third-party matter. Can it be reworked? Is it time to release it?

Next, the Scorpio Moon is part of a Grand Trine with Jupiter and Saturn today, all in water elements, so we should find we have good emotional flow or an easier time getting to the emotional context. It can help with the above listed topics that Mercury Retrograde is reviewing, as well as how this goes with home, moves, or renovations, real estate deals, roommates, or history, family or parents, any institutions we are dealing with, the research, our artistic pursuits, our spiritual practices, or the romance here.

The DAILY ASTROLOGY Nov 18th

All things Scorpio. The Scorpio Moon is on a slow build to the New Moon in Scorpio which will occur late Wednesday night/early Thursday morning depending on your time zone. So we are more or less in the dark of the Moon, awaiting the new beginnings that this will bring when it comes to our Scorpio themes; loans, inheritance, taxes, insurance, alimony, subsidies, royalties, bankruptcy, child support, a partners, money, or any other financial interests, or sexual attractions, reproductive needs, divorce, deep changes, what we are doing with a birth or death, or third-party situations. Again, we are getting the preview, but the real launch forward commences when we awake on Thursday with the New Moon here. The Scorpio Moon builds all day to a merger with Venus in Scorpio by 11:49pm Eastern. So, we should be feeling the potential for love or income flow, beauty or pleasure around these themes and any new potential or next chapter to a story here. It may bring a woman to the forefront or help smooth out issues as well. At 10:20pm Eastern Mercury Retrograde backs out of Sagittarius and into Scorpio. From this point until we reach the 29th of the month Mercury will be taking us back into do-over mode with these Scorpio themes. There may be something from the past or in the current situation with financials, sex, reproduction, divorce, power, change, mortality, or third parties that needs to be revisited to see if there is any merit to it, if we should be addressing it now, or if there can be better closure. There could be something current in play that needs more attention to reassess, rework or release. It's about slowing down and revisiting what we can to help us decide what stays, what goes and what can be revamped in some way before Mercury starts moving forward through Scorpio again Nov 29th-Dec 11th. To this end, Mercury will bring news, talks or meetings, short trips, moves or local activities, sales, writing or negotiations, siblings, neighbors, aunts, or uncles, or offers, ideas, flirtations, or decisions to bear on these themes so we start this do-over process. The DAILY ASTROLOGY Nov 17th

The Grand Trine between the Sun in Scorpio, Jupiter in Cancer, and Saturn in Pisces perfected in the wee hours this morning and will continue to color the day. It should bring an uptick emotionally and smoother sailing when it comes to what we are trying to change or evolve, our financial or intimate interests, what's going on at home, with moves, real estate deals, family, or roommates, and the research, institutions, artistic, romantic, or spiritual interests in the mix.

Mercury Retrograde is active today asking us to talk, listen, meet, and review, release or rework something about travel, legal, distant, media, educational, ceremonial, religious, or political. It is our last activation in this do-over through Sagittarius and its topics since tomorrow Mercury will back out of this sign and into Scorpio for the rest of the Retrograde. So, if you need to reassess something here today is the day. This is linked to things online, with friends, groups, aspirations, finances, sexual attractions, reproduction, divorce, or third-party matters and is an opportunity in the do-over.

Libra Moon is wrapping up her focus on our emotional needs with partners, clients, specialists, reps, competitors, advocates, or the like by 4:44pm Eastern and is all about flexibility as we go so don't be rigid, give a little wiggle room, and bend when needed. At 4:44pm Eastern the Moon then moves on into Scorpio and will be square Pluto until it perfects at 8:05pm Eastern and then will ease off the rest of the night.
