The DAILY ASTROLOGY April 18th

Short Version: Mars in Leo gives us a boost starting today in the arenas of love, children, creativity, and fun, we'll be getting busy, making things happen here over the next 2+ months. An important alignment involving our Destiny and the long-term stories in our life arrives sometime between today and Tuesday, pointing us towards our future. The tests we are currently in the thick of today should peak by early afternoon and show signs of getting better over the next couple days.

The Long Version: It's hard to believe that Mars entered Cancer last year on Sept 4th, moved forward through the sign, into Leo, then Retrograded back through Leo and Cancer, went forward in Cancer and now, finally, exited Cancer last night/early this morning! That's 7 and a half months so far, back and forth between Cancer and Leo! So, we finally get to feel released from Mars in Cancer, the sign of its 'fall', and move into the last passage of Mars in Leo where it is going to fire us up and set the stage for what will happen over the next 2 years with love and creativity, children and fun. We are in the Shadow of that Mars in Leo Retrograde until May 2nd and then we will breach the Shadow and move into new experiences with Mars in Leo from May 2nd-June 17th. Divide it in your mind like this, today through May 2nd we get to move forward with whatever stories slowed down, were revisited, came back around from the past, exited, or were reworked during the Retrograde do-over in Leo about love, lovers, children, creative endeavors, dramas, entitlement issues, or recreational pursuits. Then from May 2nd-June 17th new stories get underway in these areas. Mars brings the fire, the passion, the motivation, angry outbursts, actions, and reactions in these realms, time to make things happen.

Next, the North Node of Destiny moved onto the 26th degree of Pisces today and tours here until the 22nd. This is significant because Saturn is already on this degree, so they merge their energies over these 5 days, at peak on Monday the 21st. The significance is something destined, something future-oriented involving commitments, endings, ambitions, authority figures, goals, structures that support, time, or effort is possible now. It can play out via prayer, meditation, miracles, magic, psychic abilities, signs from beyond the veil, karmic cycles, institutions, research, artistic outlets, romance, or recuperative needs. We should look for these fated moments starting today and lasting until Tuesday when something in the mix comes together for each of us. This is a very rare configuration, not repeated this lifetime. Finally, we also have something we are pushing through or dealing with as an obstacle today to a personal goal, career need or with a parent, boss, or other authority figure. We should move past the most challenging of this by early afternoon and then we should start to see some shift that grows stronger into better flow in these arenas over the next few days. Talks, news, meetings, short trips, sales, dealings with institutions, research, recuperative needs, or anything in the artistic, romantic or spiritual arena could play into it today.
